SFU · Fall 2026 add/drop

goSFU caps you at 2 waitlists. Watch as many as you want.

CourseCatch keeps an eye on the sections you can't waitlist and sends one email when enrollment moves in your favour. No goSFU login — just your email.

One watch: when the waitlist thins out, one email goes to your inbox.

How it works

  1. 1

    Sign in with your email

A code lands in your inbox — no password to invent. We never ask for your goSFU login.

  2. 2

    Pick your sections

Watch as many as you want. For each one, choose what counts as good news: a seat available, or the waitlist thinning out.

  3. 3

    Get one email

When it happens, one email goes out and the watch is done. You go swap your waitlist or enroll on goSFU.

Demo

Every watch is one condition on one section. You pick it when you add the watch.

A seat is free and nobody's waiting

enrolled < capacity · waitlist = 0

96 enrolled 24 free 0 waiting

Free seats alongside a queue don't count — that's usually capacity reserved for specific programs, and the queue moves first. This fires only when the queue clears and seats remain.

The waitlist drops below your number

waitlist < N · you pick N

120 enrolled 0 free 4 waiting

Watching a full section? Set a threshold and hear about it the day the queue gets short enough to be worth joining with one of your two goSFU slots.

Live for Fall add/drop

Watches run during SFU's add/drop period, while enrollment still moves. When waitlists freeze on the 18th September, there's nothing left to catch — so CourseCatch stops watching too.

What it does — and won't

Not affiliated with or endorsed by Simon Fraser University. Built by a student, for students.

Your email, nothing else
No name, student number, program, or grades. And never your goSFU password — CourseCatch doesn't touch goSFU at all.
Read-only, in the open
Enrollment data is refreshed once daily from Coursys. CourseCatch only reads publicly visible figures and reports what it sees.
One email, then done
A watch fires once and retires itself. No streaks, no digests, no reminders. You can delete any watch yourself, anytime.
No seat promises
Seats may be reserved for specific programs, so check goSFU to confirm you can enroll. CourseCatch tells you when to look — it never claims a seat is yours.
